SURJ DC is a chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), a national network of groups and individuals organizing white people for racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ provides a space to build relationships, skills, and political analysis to act for change.

In SURJ DC, we support and follow the leadership of Black- and People of Color-Led organizing work, including Black Lives Matter-DC, EmpowerDC, Many Languages One Voice, ONE DC, and the Stop Police Terror Project. We also connect with other white people to further our own political education and analysis, and to learn, canvass, advocate, organize, fundraise, and more.
